Mahalo for the update, Keala. Sorry your a little yucky, but you'll be bouncing around soon. Make yourself walk around the hotel. I thought it was cold in SF, too!!! I layered my clothes, but it wasn't enough! So, I confined much of my walking to indoors around the hotel.
Keep sipping, too. I mix my bullets with SF Kool-Aid to improve the taste and texture.
Stay rested and don't over-do! Congratulations on a successful surgery! ((hugs)) Let the journey begin!!!!!

Topic: Checking In
Hi Everyone,
I'm out of the hospital and at my hotel. Surgery went fine, Today I am really feeling it. Some Nausea and tiredness having a little trouble getting the liquids in. Plus, San Francisco is cold! I did a bullet this morning and am trying to do another one right now.
I think the biggest problem was that Walgreen's doesn't accept my Kaiser insurance and when I went to pick up my prescriptions it was very expensive so I only got the pain medication. Hoping I can hold out until I return home to get the rest, with my co-pay, although I might have to break down and get the nausea medication.
Glad to hear HiGurl and Sara did well also.
I met two other Hawaii families who are here, both from Kauai. They were so great to me, especially since I had to travel alone. You are never alone with your Hawaii ohana around!

LOL Well thanks Sara. How was she feeling? Everything went well? And thanks to yu too Asia. I am feeling pretty confident after that party. My husband thinks it is kinda funny cause I am feeling pretty good these days!! He says I should have listend to him he tells me I am beautiful all the time why wait for others to tell me he says!!

Yes, it was strange... but they really don't actually "watch" you sleep. There is a camera where they monitor you, but it's not like the medical shows where there is a 1 way mirror and they're all standing behind the mirror with clipboards!
It was hard sleeping there... all the wires attached to you -- I was afraid to move around too much. But it went well, and it's done, so now on to the next phase.
I found out yesterday that Dr. Fowler wants me to do a stress echo and I need to have my blood drawn again because they didn't get all the results they wanted. Hopefully those two things will be quick and I'll get my date soon.

I went to the hospital yesterday and met Sara. We were talking about the Hawaii OH Board and she was saying how much she loved this dress. You know how to work it girl.

There are support meeting everymonth I think with Dr. C. and Dr. Fowler has meetings every first Wednesday of the month. You might want to call to see if you can attend I don't see why not. I go everymonth and love them.

Dr. Cirangle and I just wanted to let you know that we are so happy for you that your weight loss surgery dream is finally coming true. I know it's been a long road with some roadblocks and frustrations. I can say, without question, you are going to do wonderfully!
Anyone that has been this tenacious, proactive and able to shield the negative influences in order to make the decision to save your life is a rock star and deserves everyone's respect!! I have had a soft spot for you since we first met in Maui. You are such a great girl and deserve the quality of life I KNOW you will soon achieve!!
Dr. C and I want to let you know how proud we are of you and you are more than welcome to be a part of our Maui meetings. I hope you take us up on that!

It must be a little strange having someone watch you while you sleep.
I think that would be constantly on my mind. Anyway, I hope you woke up really early today and are super tired that nothing bothers you and you can sleep well.
