Starting the road to surgery....

I am just wondering, for those of you that are military and in Hawaii, how long did it take from your first appt with your regular doc to get a referall was it until your date of surgery? I know back home (Ft Hood, TX), it is less then 2 weeks from first appt to surgery date, I am hoping it is close to the same here...

It is a long road, I had surgery here on island. My PCP wrote the referral 5 Sep, Tricared out on the 24 Sep, 1st appointment with the surgeon's coordinater 23 Jan, appointment with surgeon 30 Jan and I had surgery 14 Apr. I think I am one of the lucky ones. Some people started alot earlier then I did and still have not had surgery. I wish you the best of luck... If you have any questions just e-mail me. Jai
