I DID IT, I DID IT, HOORAYYY!!!!!

Hey everyone, I FINALLY had my surgery done!!!! I'm sure Steffie has already let you all know things went well BUT, here's a surprise for her, I am out of the hospital!!!! I got out this afternoon (Thursday), so just a day and a half later, and really I feel pretty good.....of course I am sore as all hell, but not really feeling sharp pain. I even went to the .99cent store to get some nail polish tonight!!!! I have been doing really well with walking, it is getting easier each time. I was so nervous, and now I don't know what for!!!! I don't miss food either...maybe that part hasn't hit me yet, or maybe it is because I have waited for so many years to have this surgery, but I sat and watched my son eat McDonalds and the smell or sight of it didn't bother me or make me want it or anything---I hope it stays like that!!!!!! But anyways, the Lortab is kicking in...sooooo!!!! Thank you guys for everything, and giving me the support to get to this point--you all are great, and thanks so much Steffie for being my OH Angel

I am sooo happy for you! I can't wait till you get back home! I am so shocked you got out of the hospital early. I'm glad that the smell of food isn't bothering you either. It sure bothered me but not until after about a week,...but it was all mental! I have not been home hardly at all the past few days. In fact I am getting ready to walk out the door now. CONGRATULATIONS Jessica, I just had my surgery on April 7th and I still have my staples in..no fun but healing pretty good. I'm happy to hear your doing so well. We'll be losing together!! Jamie

Congrats to you too Jamie!! When do your staples come out? I bet you're getting anxious for them to go!!! I had I think 2 staples in each little puncture--LOL, that's what I call it anyways, from the lap rny, and they took them out before I was released thursday, now I just have steri-strips. My site where my JP tube was hasn't even drained anymore...I am really thankfull for that, I think it is healing well. Are you able to get up and around much? I'm excited for you!! Take Care
