Protien Shakes
What type of protien shakes are you all using and where are you getting it from.
I cannot seem to stomach the isopure anymore, it makes me Is there a better option on island? I am not that rich that I can afford to be financially raped and pay an additional $20-$30 to have it shipped from the mainland.

Hi Steffie,
What about the Isopure clear drink in a bottle? They have different flavors? I have them ready at home but didn't try any yet. I'm saving it for after surgery. These items can add up $$$$. Maybe it's the milky part of the shake that's making you sick. I wanted to order some unjury or Beneprotein (the unflavored kind) because you can add them to your oatmeal but this has to be ordered (like u said). They cost $$$.
I'll let you know if I find anything else.
Take care,
Jackie
Aloha....I am looking at surgery sometime this summer, and have also been testing protein shakes. Have you ever tried Dr. Walker's shakes? They are excellent, and have all the vitamins and minerals, too. You can see them, and order at www.vitacost.com. I think they are $8.99 a can, and I use two scoops, add a half a banana to the banana flavor and blend with one of those hand blenders. Excellent! Tastes like the best milkshake. (MissMaui)
I only use the Nectars I order online from bariatriceating.com. In a pinch I'll stop at GNC and buy some of theirs, but I'm not too wild about it. Susan (the owner of the site) charges a flat rate to ship to Hawaii, I *think* it's like $13.00. I know which products of hers I like so when I order I order several tubs at once so that it lasts a long time and I don't have to pay more in shipping.
