I got a surgery date now I need some angels

I finally got a surgery date and now I am looking for local people in the Honolulu area who have had surgery or trying to have surgery to be my support group. I will help any of you in any way I can also. I think here in Hawaii their is a lack of support for military people if you do not have surgery at Tripler. I would love to start our own support group and start new friendships.

I would love to be apart of a support group. Your right since TAMC is not doing the surgery I think some people are slipping through the cracks and not getting the support that they need. So I am all for participating.

I am also a military spouse going to CA for my surgery in Feb, and would love to have some support!! I am all up for meeting some new people, and will do my best to help them in any way I can! We haven't lived on the island very long, so I really don't know anyone!!

We've been on the island for a little over 5 months and I'd love to go to a support meeting. I havn't been to one is so long I can't remember when I last went. I didn't realize Trippler wasn't doing the surgery anymore; where are they sending people? Did they stop the plastics too? I just assumed when I was ready I'd have my plastics there. Considering dh will be assigned here at least another 2.5 years I guess I should find out, huh? ~Tanja
