Its Happening !!!!!!!!

OH MY !!!!!! i cant believe this, are you guyz all ready ??? its the thing we all wait to hear. I GOT A DATE !!!!!!!!!!! its Oct 10. yes i just found out yesterday and its only about 2 weeks and 2 days away. Im only posting this now and not yesterday because i was in total shock i wasnt sure if i should celebrate, tell everyone or just trip out. well guess what i did i totally tripped out as soon as i hung up the phone i screamed and then it hit me. i was like oh my go****s really happening im really getttin this surgery done and its goin to happen in about 2 weeks. then i just broke down in tears. yes i have to admit i am a big baby. so thats the reason why i didnt tell yall yesterday i was just in total total shock and didnt know what to think say or do. like right now im still shocked i havent had an appetite to eat. i didnt eat dinner last night and then today i just ate half my plate for lunch and two meatballs for dinner and just not hungry. sorry its long but i could go on for dayz. but thank you for listening and take care all ohh wish me luck and please pray for me much love

congratulations on your surgery date!...i was lurking around the hawaii message board (i lived there in the late 70's and my husband and i visit as often as possible - we were in kona last year and plan on a trip back in the spring - hopefully when i'm a lot lighter!) and was intrigued by your message as well as your profile page (just love that squarebob spongepants!)...i have kaiser as well and it's amazing how differently the programs are run!...i broke down in tears when i got my approval letter from kaiser (relief and fear?) so i can imagine how you felt with the actual surgery date!...good luck to you and i'll lurk back in after your surgery date to see how you're doing!... best of luck and good health! ~ karen

Hi there John!!!!! I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I'm thinking and praying for you. I read your post of 10/2 and you are on the right track as far as buying the items for your post op period. Have you checked with your doctor about vitamins, and other supplements that you may need after surgery? Here are some of the things that I needed to buy so that I would have them when I got home: Multi-vitamins - I take 2 per day ( use Centrum) Vitamin B-12 - take 1 per day Iron - take 2 per day Calcium - take 1,500 mg. per day (I am not sure if I need this because I'm a female, so you may not need it) And of course where do I get these items? That's right, at GNC!!! Thank goodness for the GOLD Card and their buy one and get the 2nd free offers. You get a double discount on the first 7 days of the month. As far as the Centrum vitamins, I waited until they went on sale and bought a whole bunch of them. They're about $6.99 on sale for 100 tablets. They are huge, so I do have to cut them in half. My goodness they would probably fit my whole pouch!!!! I wanted to mention to you since you bought a blender. I noticed when I blended the Isopure that I had a lot of foam on the top which turned me off. So I started using 2 scoops of powder, 12 oz. of iced water and a handful of crushed ice and just mixed it with a spoon. It takes a little longer, but I think it tastes better without the foam. Actually, I used to skim that part off and down the garbage disposal it went! I couldn't see wasting it especially since it is expensive. But believe me it is the best protein as far as taste. On top of that you get 65 grams per serving. With the other cheap ones, you may only get 25 grams, so you would have to drink more shakes per day anyway. Sorry I'm being so long winded.
