Support Groups in Hawaii

Aloha all, I am looking for a support group in Oahu...that will accept anyone...not just people from specific Drs. If anyone has info....I am so more than ready to join..... DEE 7/24/2002 Lap RNY 225/147

Hi my name is Dee ..I live on Oahu and had surgery on the mainland...and I can not attend any of the support group meetings here.....but as luck would have it....I have a new job and there is another person there that had the surgery as well....her and I started an online support group at yahoo.....open to all WLS patients in the Hawaiian Islands regardless of Dr., insurance, newbies or post ops...or just looking into the surgery. Hi Dee, Kasier on Oahu has several groups they run called webstiles. If you are not a Kaiser member from my understanding you can pay a one time fee and attend support groups for life. The online website will also be a wonderful tool but I know I love the live groups as well. I would call Kaiser on Oahu and ask to speak to someone from the bariatric program. If you still can not find someone you can call our Maui Nutrionist and maybe she can head you in the right direction. Her name is Linda Polly and the Maui number is 808-243-6000. Hugs
