1st Hawaii Trip Questions

I am going to HNL in April for 2 days then to Kona for 4 days and was wondering if you guys in Hawaii (who better to ask) have any suggestions of where to go and what to see... I am bringing my husband and two teenage boys... We already have somewhere to stay but just needing to put together things to see and do... We will go to Pearl Harbor... not sure what else.. Aloha~ I recommend going up to the North Shore. The first beach you come to... stop & park on the right.... there will be wild sea turtles just "hangin out" on the beach... it is amazing! People swim with them.. and they don't seem to mind. It is a little known location... and not nearly as crowded as Hanauma Bay. If you go further up the North Shore you can snorkel at Shark's Cove - better than Hanauma Bay - free - less crowded... you can catch "The Bus" to get to the North Shore.. it won't stop at the beach with the turtles.. but sometimes you can sea turtles all over the place at the north shore... If you decide to hit a luau... go to Paradise Cove at Ko O'lina.. I think it is the best one and you get to make haku leis, throw spears, get a paint-on tatoo, go in a canoe ride.. etc... ... but the one at Germaine's is a BIG party.. if you are looking for that.
