vacation help

Thought this would be a great place to start asking. we are trying to plan a family vacation for the summer. considering destin Florida, Hawaii and a few others. Would appreciate any thoughts on family vacation areas in Hawaii. where to go or not to go. This is our first real vacation. Lost weight and now feel like someone. Ready to go.

I live in Hawaii but moved here from Florida and have been to Destin, FL.  Destin used to be my most favorite beach until I moved to Hawaii.  I guess for FL, it's my favorite.  If I had to choose, I'd come to Hawaii over FL, hands down.  The best island to visit, in my opinion and I'm assuming you have children since you said "family vacation", is Oahu.  This is the island I live on, it has lots of things for kids to do, history with Pearl Harbor, the palaces for the history of the Hawaiian royalty, and may be a little less expensive than the other islands.  My favorite resort is the Hilton Hawaiian Village but can be pricey.  Anyway, I hope that helps.  If Hawaii is too much of a bite out of your wallet, Destin, is a very nice alternative.
