Military and moving to Kauai!

Hey all,

My husband is getting order to PMRF in Kauai.  I had my RNY just about 2 years ago and I have lost 125lbs.  I have not had any complications and I feel great!

My question is.  I just found out we need overseas screenings to go to Kauai.  I saw they can deny you orders because of RNY.  Has anyone had a problem with this, or do you know if it is true.

I am also looking to talk to people on Kauai so I can get more info abou it.  Drop me a line so we can chat!

OMG! Moving,,,,again! That's the military for ya!

As far as I know, the RNY will NOT stop you from moving on. You are healthy and that's what they are making sure of. You should be fine.

Hey julie,

According to the overseas screening info that I have read, Kauai, Japan and Guam has very strict requirements.  It states that you will automatically be disqualified from being able to go if youhave had RNY or a Morbidly Obese related complication in the last 3 years.  I will only be 2 1/2 years out when we move.  I am hoping to have some more info today.

I hope it does not stop us from going.  We are very excited about it!  Hope all is well!

being that you haven't had any complications, i couldn't imagine that you would have a problem. you look great too by the way!! hope you make it here soon!!
