1 week till surgery!

Hey Everyone,

Everything seems to be happening so fast.  My last month of school has been dreadful, but its finally over and now I'm trying to get ready for my trip to San Fran. 

My surgery date with Dr. Cirangle is on June 18th and I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.  It's like OMG!!!!  Less that a week and I will FINALLY be on the losers bench!!!  Gotta to the happy dance...

The paperwork is kinda confusing and I'm so scared that I will miss something important.  I've gotten all my pre-op testing done and have faxed my consent forms.  My flight reservations have been made, but I'm not sure about my Hotel reservations.

It was my understanding that the hopital covers the hotel room, but I haven't heard back from them yet.  I tried calling the hotel to see if any reservations were made under my name, but they couldn't find anything.  Now I'm starting to really stress....  I could have sworn that  the doc said that it would be taken care of.  I just hope its not too late for me to make get a hotel room.

Anyways....thank you for taking the time to read my post.  I must admit that I'm getting a little nervous.  Don't get me wrong...I am stoked about my surgery, but I'm also paranoid that I might forget to do something and then have my surgery canceled....

Oh well....talk to you all laterz.

it is very normal for u to be feelin like thus..we all go thru it.we are so worried that it wont really happen for us and that it will be taken away..anyways u better keep checking on the hotel cuz yes the hotel is supposed to be covered..but im sure u will be fine ..  good luck we will pray for u

You'll be just fine, Malia! Give Nicole a call and verify the hotel reservations. You can also ask her if everything is in order and she should be able to tell you.

Know that you're in the hands of probably the most skilled surgeon in the country! You're beginning a most incredible journey. Keep looking forward and hang on!

P.S. When you get to the hotel, ask if you can have a small refrigerator to keep your meds in. (They will gladly provide one free of charge.) You can use it for anything and everything since you'll be "setting up house" for a week. They are very accommodating! My thoughts will be with you as I recall that is what I was doing just a little over a year ago myself! ((hugs))

Sorry so late in responding.  The hotel didn't have wireless.

I was able to confirm my reservations the day before our flight to San Fran so every thing worked out.  I called Gloria Ware and she was able to find out my confirmation number.  They were having problems with thier computers, so it took a few minutes.   I was very happy with the hotel.  It was really cool, even though we were hardly ever there!  Hehehe.
