Just a thought

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to share something with you and get your thoughts.  I went to lunch with some friends today.  One is someone who I see every week( who is a blessing and eats slow with me) and the other about once a month( love here she just works oppisite schedule).  Just for fun and to test myself I did my own research.  I sat across from my friend that I do not see often and being silly ( I should know better by now) I tried to talk with her while eating.  ( I threw up my fault I own it).   Anyway I noticed that she had eaten her salad and soup in 7 minutes ( yes she is skinny and inhales her food)  I had not even finished one bite yet.   Anyway here is my thoughts.
1.  Do you ever notice yourself eating faster if you are eating with fast eaters?
2.  I wish I would have timed myself before surgery
3. I hate throwing up and wish I would learn my lesson to pay attention to the food and not everyone and everything else.
4. How come I was not skinny when I am sure that I use to inhale my food.

Have a good weekend.  Sara

I just had this same experience!  My sister called in the middle of my work day on Thurs, and I hadn't  talked to her in a while, so I made some lunch and proceeded to chow down while on the phone with her.... I ended up hang up on her to go throw up.  Lesson learned.  Eating time is eating time!  No more rushed conversations while I'm eating.

I still eat faster than I should, but am doing much better overall.

I still eat really really fast and shouldn't.  I always get the foamies and its the pits.  I do chew really well.  The big difference is that I love soft food so I don't have to chew chew chew.

Sara you are doing great! Keep up the great work!
