Aloha all,

Well, I was banded on Tues. and came back to Maui today.  Even had my hiatal hernia repaired! My biggest fear around nausea was expertly handled by the Anesthesiologist, no nausea at all. Dr. Fowler and staff at Castle were incredible. Have to admit, I've got hiccups though, and a pretty severe case of indigestion, so I really haven't felt inclined to eat anything at all.

The hiccups are pretty uncomfortable, as for the indigestion, well I'm hopeful this will pass too.  Any insights are welcomed.

Thanks for all the support from the board.

Hi Makena!!
Thanks but it's been a struggle for me.  Dr. C tells it like it is and in order for me to make my goals I'm a bit behind and I keep beeting myself up for it.  Other than that, I'm feeling really good and no complications what so ever!!  Enjoying the up's and down's of this awesome journey!!!
Looks like you're almost to goal.....That's so awesome

I'm so glad to hear things went so well for you, all things considered!  I thought about you all day and sent you good energy.  I also had a hiatal hernia repaired.  And yesterday (Friday), I've had problems with hiccups.  It only seems to happen when I'm sitting upright but sipping water helps abate it for a while.  I did really well until the flight home.  We'd received some distressing news the night before (right after I was released from the hospital) so I was already out of sorts in the first place, but the cabin pressure made the hernia hurt really bad.  Between that and leftover gas, I was crying most of the flight home.  I retched a couple of times but nothing bad, no blood or anything.  If you can, try sipping water or something that will help to dilute your stomach acid.

So here we are, in the other side.  I keep seeing food commercials on TV and think, "oh, that looks good!"  But my stomach says...not so much.  I feel full and not really craving food.  So I'm happy about that and am looking forward to it continuing.

We're on the road!

Feeling fine,
Barb

 Aloha Coleen,

I hope by now you are feeling better.  I'm so sorry you've had such a rough time.  I wish there was something we could all do for you, but at least we can send you good and healthy energy to you.

To all our friends, Coleen has been having constant pain, vomiting and inability to hold anything down.  Let's all send her our prayers.

Barb
