I'm banded!

Hi everyone.... wow, what a blurr of a few days!  I am on Oahu with my bestest friend (I know that now, because she helped me put on undies yesterday).  I had surgery Wednesday morning and although the lapband proceedure went well... I unfortunately had severe complications to the anesthesia and had to be re-intubated and kept on a ventilator for most of Wednesday.

But.... that's all in the past.  Except for a sore throat and a little bit slower recovery, I'm feeling great.  Finally slept well last night and feel very good today.

Thanks for all your well wishes.  We are off to the mall to walk and then to Dr. Fowlers for a follow up appointment.  I'll check in again after we fly home this weekend.

So glad to hear from you.  You have been in my thoughts and I'm glad everything worked out.

that sucks about the ventilator thing..im glad u are ok thought...my mom helped me to put on my undies when i was in the hospital..haha..so yes thats a good friend..at least my mom seen my privates from the day i was born..lol..anyways good luck and congrats

Sorry to hear about the problems with anesthesia.  I am glad to hear everything else went well. I just had my first fill today.  2.5 cc and I feel like I ate a turkey.  Hope your follow up goes well.  Sara

Thanks for all your well wishes!  I am home in Kona and doing very well.  Feeling stronger every day and looking forward to going to the store today to buy some Lite Yoghurt!!!!
