Out of Surgery
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know I made it through surgery!! I went in on Tuesday at 2pm for 4pm surgery. Apparently the person that was in front of my had something wrong with their lab work and wouldn't be able to go in until they could balance their levels so when I checked in, things moved quickly. Changed into my gown, signed some papers, put my IV in, got weighed and moved straight from the prep room to see the Anesthesiologist. I talked to him which went quickly and they took me into the surgery room. Layed me down on the operating table. That was a little scary, seeing all the lights and it being so definate. I don't remember anything from then. So I went in about 3pm and was in the recovery room about 7pm. My surgery ended up being about 4hrs which is pretty long. Dr C said I had no complications but my liver was fatty. I did have nausea when coming out of recovery but they gave me nausea medicine which helped. The first night was spend sleeping, I was pretty out of it. Wednesday was better. I could get some liquids down but not very much at all. About 8oz in total the first day. Ihad no appetiteat all and it took everything in me to drink anything. The second day was better. I got about 30oz of fluids. Today, It's 11am and I'm still struggling on my first 10 oz. I don't want to drink anything and I'm sick of the fruity flavors.
Over all I think I'm doing ok. I'll write more on my blog when I get home because this lap top and the connection at the hotel is horrible.
Thank you all to my OH family for all your prayers!!

You "sound" like you're in good spirits and that is perfect! I am so happy for you. I had a fatty liver, too, and Dr. C repaired my hiatal hernia while in there. I know what you mean about the anesthesia. I remember the IV and then a total blan****il I was in my room! Amazing stuff, huh?!!!
Keep sipping and walking (VERY IMPORTANT!!) and you'll be feeling fantastic in no time! Enjoy your journey and know we're all here for you!
((hugs))
