I felt beautiful for the first time!!

I posted this on the lap band forum btu I thought I would share with my Hawaii friends as well.  I went to a Christmas party last night and actually felt beautiful for the first time in my life.  I got the dress from a friend on the lap band forum.  It was a hit.  One person even told my husband he had a hot wife!!  It was fun.  I also managed to survive the dinner.  I was really worried about that but it went well.

I will definately try to have fun.  I am not too good at taking compliments but at the party I couldn't stop smiling!!  I am sure it will get easier as time goes on.

Thanks so much.  I am trying to not worry about what others think of me but let me tell you it felt good to have people complimenting me and looking at the party!!

I can't believe you say its your first time. You look beautiful everytime I see you. I am really going to miss seeing you at the monthly support group meeting. You are so beautiful inside and out. Aloha, Asia

Thanks Asia, I am going to miss you too.  Isn't it amazing how 2 people can live so close and have never met but they hang out on the internet and become fast friends!! I will keep in touch here for sure.  Maybe before I leave we can get together and do a light lunch or dinner or something.  I hope you have a great week.
