Hi everyone,
I had an appt with my PCP and we talked about my weight. She was concerned about my elevated BP...I told her I was considering WLS.
She said she will help and support me 100%. She even called Dr. Lapshies' office to make an appointment for me. I told her I was going to the Queens informational session and she said to go to this too.... She wants me to do my research and then we would make a decision on who and what....
So excited!!!!! I thought she was going to be doubtful...
Hopefully I will have WLS before the end of the year!!!!!
I love my PCP and dislike my EX-ob/gyn specialist.... GOD is GOOD!

Hi!!
My PCP is Dr. Mason from Queens. I must warn you though, she is a tough cookie. She will make you work at it. I mean I've been seeing her for many years now and she has documentation of my weightloss attempts, co-morbidities, etc.
So if you have history from you previous PCP, she will probably be able to work something out for you.
I was super excited, because she usually lectures me and asks me to try the mind over matter methods. So when she said she will support me, 100%... I was so elated!
She still lectured me about patients she knew that lost all the weight and then ballooned back up to 400 pounds. She's careful about her words and doesn't insult you.
Good luck!
