Anyone has a menu plan....like local menu plan

I am just going on my third week.....just started protein.  Anyone knows if we can have a loco moco with brown rice no gravy.  Just two scoop or three....whatever my pouch can handle.  WHat about papaya?  Can we have that too? 

I know I needed to see a nutritionist, but I just didn't want to....felt uncomfortable.  Let me know....I rather hear from someone that went through the surgery, or someone that have gone through the classes.

I went to a site bariatric eating.  It tells you what to eat and what not to eat.  Not a menu plan.

I have not had the surgery yet but have been thru a few seminars and the PCP that i was gonna go with recomeends staying away from rice and im not sure about the gravy...you should ask your NUT..they know best...good luck

Yea- i dident have the RNY but i dunno about rice... or hambuger meat so early on....

Start off slow- like cottage chesse, and chicken brest.. dont want to shock your self by eatting stuff that is real fatty...

Stick to stuff that is safe and easy to eat....

i dunno, maybe you should see a nutritionist- and see what they say- the more info you have the beter right... I know i learned alot when i went...

I know you dont want to dump, and its hard to tell what will make your body do it,

Hi there! At 3 weeks out, i was still on mushies. Cottage cheese, yogurt and mozzarella cheese sticks chewed to death. My docs orders were no rice or gravies until i was at goal. No fruit or veggies until about 1 1/2 month out. When I was given the OK for fruits, it was only berries. Strawberries, blueberries and raspberries as they have the least amount of sugar.

I felt like crap this past two days.  Couldn't really hold anything down.  I couldn't workout because my body felt so weak.  I ate Kalua pig with cabbage.  I been throwing up, and just basically felt weak.  I think that might be dumping syndrome.  I haven't had a bowel movement for a weak.  Is that normal?

I know this is not a local menu.....but what about jamba juice?  There is sugar free and non dairy and we can add protein?

Jamba juice was my fav until I read the nutritional value! Holey Crap!!  If you can get them to not use any base that has carbs and fresh fruit..ask for the drink the diabetics can drink..a better option is Starbucks Vivanno -has low calories, low sugar, low carbs, protien packed and 5 grams of fiber too:)  tasty too:)

I'm just suprised that you did not go to classes. Where did you have your surgery done? I'm just a little past 3 weeks post op.As far as menu plan... It's all about stages. Right about now your at the puree stage which is Stage III. A lot of people that I know at this point runs out and by Baby food. I my self will not. I cook my own meals and puree most, not all meals are pureed, but most. My meals are at this time, Chicken Stew, Turkey Chill, Suger free Jello, Fruit Popsicle, Crab Cake,Tuna w/ tofu and egg, Baked fish sticks, Mashed Banana, Peanut butter, Sweet Potato Mashed potato. I'm still working hard on trying to add more foods to my list. There's a lot of Psychological challenges and right now, your being challeged. Over come your cravings. Good Luck.

Thanks for the advice everyone!!!!!!  I am at that point where I am too scared to eat anything.  For some reason I cannot tolerate eating egg or any dairy product.  I love eating yogurt and drinking skim milk....everything I eat makes me feel like crap.  I will have my one month visit tomorrow.

I don't have that much energy.  I wake up in the morning with really dry mouth.  Sometimes I develope yellow foam in my mouth.  It is soooo nasty.  I really need to use mouth wash.

Will post my weight loss tomorrow.  Just feel like I didn't lose much because I didn't excercise.

Much Mahalo......no worries....I haven't touched da white rice....I was just asking if get any local menu out there when we are on the road trying to look for something to eat.

Someone told me about taco bells...the cheese roll for 99 cents.
