My last weigh in was 415lbs.  I went to my post op this past Friday, and I am down to 389lbs.  I am finally out of the 400lbs range.

I had the RNY July 28, 2008.  I am so happy.  Doc gave me the ok to have protein.

I lost 26lbs total and still going.

Anyone eating protein?  What do you have and what amount?  Did you have fruits or vegetaables?

Well, my journey has just begun.

Thanks Nahealani I am excited about my new journey, but it still takes a lot of other things.  EXCERCISE!!!!!!   I am going to the YMCA, and today will be my second week of workout.  Jus taking it one step at a time.

I do not want too much saggy skin.  My next visit to the doc will be the end of this month.  Which will be one month visit.  I do not weigh myself.  I just go to the doc to get the results.  Although my family noticed the HUGE changes.

AuntyJENN, after the liquid phase for two weeks.....I appreciate any taste of protein.  I will try to take it slow.....I was just rushing my eating....I do chew, chew, chew.  The thing is that I have a habit of eating and drinking.....that's when I get my pain....I was suppose to wait 30 min. before drinking fluids.

My workout today was okay....I just felt so tired.  I pushed myself, but I just feel out of it.  I ate boiled egg, and started throwing up.  I probably was rushing it.

eating and drinking, that was a problem of mines too..

i would ALWAYS drink a diet coke or 2 with my meals pior to surgery...and then, i couldent drink anything..yuk!

i heard of a trick to help with this...

When you make your meals get a shot glass...and fill it with water....and that is your water for your meal... seems silly- but i think it worked....

Good luck!

Right on!! congrats on the awesome job!!!

adding the protien in is like a whole new world eh.? nothing is the same- but you learn to really enjoy what little you get to eat-

Start slow, and keep to your doc's diet!!

congrats again!!
