Bad News went to GREAT NEWS!!!

Well yesterday I had an appointment with the dietian, RN and WLS Coordinator.  Actually it was a seminar.  Well I got a piece of paper that told me a break down on the steps that I have to do.  Well it said that my meeting with the Psychologist is not until Oct. 14.  I was like this is 2 months away.  I don't want to wait two months.  Well of course I am still happy about being approved.  Well I was still bummed this morning.  Well I just called the Psychologist and asked if she has any openings before Oct. 14.  Guess what she has one on August 30.  Better yet it is on a Saturday so that I don't have to miss work.  Looks like I can get my surgery in September. 

Today I went to my PCP and did the EKG, Chest X-Ray and all the blood work.  I just have the Sleep Study to do.  I am going to be on the losers bench before I know it. 

Congrats gurl...i cant wait to be on the "losers" bench like you...anyway how did the tests go and how long did it take? also did u have to do an upper GI too?

The EKG takes 5 minutes. I did that in the PCP's office. Of course bloodwork is fast and the Chest X-Ray was done at the same office that my blood work was done. So in less then 45 minutes everything was done and this included the waiting.

So my apt. with my PCP for my referal is tommarow...i hope everything goes ok, i am really nervious... I need to drink like a gallon of water before i go in and get weighed...Ill start a new tread tommarow and let you all know how it goes...

My apt is still on the 2nd- I hope I can get things moving along, and HOPEFULLY get something started before hubby goes to iraq.... blaah- I have been so nervious lately... been steeling Cig.'s from my hubby just to calm my nerves...blaah...

Thanks for thinking of me even if it is in the stalker way.  It always feels good when people think of me.  Well yup my day is tomorrow to see the shrink.  I hope I get the ok.  I did my final sleep test on Wed. and everything went well I hope.  Next week Friday I am going to call Dr. Fowlers office to see if I can get a surgery date.

BTW lay off the cigs.  I think you are suppose to be 2 months clean.  I am only thinking of your health you can always start after however why bother you need your lungs to work so you can excersize right.  Have a great Aloha Friday!
