The RNY is covered you should look into that one to.  Since you are a light weight you should check out the Light Weight board.  They are really nice over there too.

Hey there...im not sure if you were talking to me or not but i think so..anyways i am not gonna have the surgery with Dr. C anymore...because i cant afford him.  i wanted to but i cant so i am going to ttry to go to Dr. Fowler......im just not happy about having to fly back and forth to oahu...it really is an inconvenience for me..but oh well...thats the breaks i guess...lol

At the meeting Dr. Fowler was saying that for the neighbor island people he makes it a lot easier by scheduling all your appointments on the same day so you can see the whole weightloss team the same day and do the lab work.  You might be able to ask Dr. Fowler for a good Doctor on Maui that you can do the followups with.  I feel your pain.  If you want it you will do it.  Also one more thing.  After insurance is accepted you can pay $300.00 then you can pay $300 before you get your surgery date.  That means that you have up to 6 weeks to come up with the remaining money.  Just a thought.

Aloha,

Thank u dear...yes he did mention he can try to do that for us Maui ppl...so hopefully that can be arranged....also HMSA covers $70 one way towards airfare (for those of us off island)...so thats a little info that HMSA doesnt advertise..lol...also Nahea, when u got for ur appoitnment with Dr. F can u find out how much a pschological eval and a physical eval will cost? because from what i hear..that isnt covered in the $600..thanks

isit the costs just insain- i dont think the $600 is so bad- Dr. C is alot more...

HMSA paid for all my psch and Physical consults- the only think i had to pay for was 1 blood test... This was the first time with Dr. C- maybe its the same for Dr. F....

I hope everyone gets what they need for the insurance compnays-...

i just got off the phone with the PT department at Castle after getting the run around from Jennifer (Dr. fowlers nurse?) who states she didnt know what the cost would be...so i am working with kehau from the PT dept who is trying to find that answer for me as she is just as perplexed as i am as to why Jennifer would not know this answer or why this wouldnt even be included...so as soon as i know...i will let everyone on this board know....lol..aloha!
