fills on maui

Aloha, I moved to maui 9 months ago and need a fill. I was told by one doc I needed an upper GI since I had my Lap-Band in Seattle. The cost for one of these I found after several calls was about $1000. It would be cheaper to fly to Seattle, but a lot of time for me. Does anyone know of a Doc on Maui or Oahu who does fills? I was told it was because they wouldn't know where my band was and asked if I got it in Mexico. The doctor I had only does Lap-bands and is at NWWLS, one of the best Lap Band surgeons in my opinion. Not sure if you mean that you DID find someone on Maui that will do a fill and it costs $1000??? I know my doc who is from San Fran, flies to the islands every other month to do follow ups with patients........maybe you can contact my doc and see if he can take over your  bariatric care and do your fills/unfills for you. Aloha, Actually he was the one who wanted an upper GI first that costs a $1000.00.Urgh

Oh okay...the GI costs $1000.......WOWSERS! Is it that your insurance won't cover it? Or maybe you could contact Dr. Murayama or Dr. Balfour.......they are located on Oahu. Or another suggestion would be----have your Seattle doc send over all your records to Dr. Cirangle and go from there.
