Wow this really is a quiet board.....HELLO

Thank you to those that responded or emailed responses to me yesterday. Some things have changed since then. Dr. fowler doesn't take my insurance, Dr. Cirangle takes it but you have to pay up front. I talked to Queens and was liking what they had to say, but after talking to hubby I decided to go back to Tricare prime which will put me back at Tripler. I will call and talk to their bariatric program tomorrow. We'll see what happens. I've decided that if God wants this to happen then it will happen and if he don't then it won't. So is everyone enjoying the rain today? YUK! However I am enjoying the cool temps. I actually shut my air off today. Poor hubby though has been outside since 4:30am and I'm sure he'll be a lil grouchy when he gets home. Have a great evening, Shel

Hey Shel... It is a quiet board...but the ladies are very sweet. It was soooo cold at my house yesterday....it stays cold until about noon and then I have to open up the doors and let some fresh air in. I've been in Hawaii so long that I'm not used to the cold now...lol. Good luck with whoever you choose to go through for your WLS...it goes by really quickly once you get through the initial appointments. Did you get to make it to the Queen's seminar on Wednesday...or did you just get them on the phone? It was a small turn out but there were a lot of ladies up front who talked about having the surgery. Dana

Welcome aboard Shelley. Sorry, I have been busy for the last week and have not been able to check in and see we have a new member. Good luck to you. I had my surgery with Dr. Cirangle and his expertise is wonderful and worth the price I had to pay up front. It gave me my life back and I am loving life (especially without any side affects)

Hey Shel.. Just wanted to check in with ya and see how things were going through Tripler?

Well, I talked to Jeff at the tripler bariatric center. He told me what all would be required of me, etc. I cannot go there till Jan. because that is when my tricare prime will be active. He said the whole process can take 9months-2 yrs. I dunno how long it will really take but I am going to follow the program to a tee. I figure either I'll end up with the surgery or I'll lose enough weight to not need the surgery....how great would that be. I don't see that happening though. So I will keep you all update once my journey actually starts. Thanks for asking, Shel
