I'm back (you probably don't remember me, though)
So I took a little break from the site to work on my life. Linda at Straub said that I had to lose 50-pounds before the surgery, which I am close to accomplishing. I was 497 at the Dietician's office. Now I'm 474. Yeah, I know. Whoop-di-doo, a total of 23-pounds. But it was kind of hard, but now, I'm on it. And my blood pressure went down from the 140's to the high 120's and low 130's.
I'm eating a chicken salad for lunch and another for dinner. For breakfast I just eat whatever or nothing because I don't have time to prepare breakfast. It's usually two pieces of chicken breast and a handful of cherry tomatoes.
I haven't incorporated exercise yet because I'm having problems with my feet. They freaking hurt. I'm pretty sure it's because of my weight and my being my active with school and such. I feel it most in my right foot on the inside curve, radiating a bit to the top. It's so frustrating because depending on how I step I can aggravate it and be in pain for the rest of the day. I tried binding it with a wide Ace bandage but that just made it worse so I'm just going to, forgive me, walk it off.
Since I feel that I'm pretty good with my diet, now, I'm going to incorporate some stationary cardio exercise like Tae Bo or something. I'm pretty sure that's gonna lenient on my feet. If not I'll just not do the leg-parts of the exercises.
A possible problem: Like I mentioned earlier, I just started school part-time in the evenings, Tuesday and Thursday. I have work in the morning Monday to Friday. The group sessions I need to partake in falls on Tuesday nights, apparently. Argh! I'm going to talk to my Dean and see if something can be set-up. I hope this doesn't hinder my getting the surgery.
Keep fighting the good fight.
