Shannon, Shannon!! You have been on my mind so strongly today, and then voila...here's a message from you. I will call you later.
Carol and I will be waiting for you to join us on the "other side" of surgery. I am so excited for you.
Today I drove and went shopping for the first time, and it was a piece of cake! I felt wonderful. Each day it gets a little more easy and real, and you being so young, you will bounce back like crazy.
Talk to you soon. GOOD LUCK & KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A CHEERING SECTION WAITING FOR YOU!
Aloha nui loa,
Karen
Hey girl! I think you will be able to do any thing you set your mind to!! I can see you kickboxing...I really can.
Advice: Take earplugs! You might be lucky and get a private room like Carol did, but I had a really ill woman in with me and she literally talked to herself nonstop..sometimes yelling, swearing and moaning. It was impossible to sleep. Earplugs or music headset would have made all the difference.
I took bathrobe, slippers, nightgowns...didn't use any of it. They had BIG hospital gowns and I just used that plus the nonskid slippers they gave me. 2nd day I was trudging up and down the halls pulling my IV pole with the best of them. I would just unplug it from the wall and off I would go.
You will do great!! Can't wait to hear all about it.
With so much aloha!
Karen
