I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 YEARS

Aloha, I've been waiting for almost 2 years for kaiser to go ahead with my surgery...............And now I'm going to have the gastric bypass done in just three short days....I can't wait.Bring it on...Can't wait to be on the other side and to join you losers................I've been not kissing my grand kids and not letting any germs around me........Too important to go ahead with the surgery now................I'm so excited...............I've been reading this message board for around 8 months now and never thought I had anything to contribute until now................... Welcome Carol! How exciting to have a new member, and you're right on the brink of your surgery. I'm so excited for you. Another LOOSER in Hawaii!!! Hooray! Good luck with the beginning of this new phase of your life. It's going to be quite a ride, but we're all here wanting to share in it with you, as we are all enriched by sharing each other's experiences. I can't wait to hear all about yours... Yeah Carol....I KNOW how long you've been waiting, and how excited you are. That was me, too, last week. Hey, I just remembered something that I wished I'd taken to the hospital....ear plugs! I had a roommate that kept talking to herself...loud, and moaning, and shouting...all night long. Earplugs would have made a big difference. I never did use my nightgowns that I brought or my robe....their hospital gowns there are HUGE and fit all the way around for my strolls around the halls. By the 2nd night, I just unplugged my IV cart and went to the bathroom and strolled on my own without having to call anyone. Anything you want to ask me, just call. I have forgotten so much, and my mind is till not up to par...I'm on drugs a little and just still loopy from the surgery. Talk to you soon. Aloha, Karen

Aloha sure love all of the "fresh" advice........Jack & I go over tomorrow morning at 7:30............Surgery is suppose to be around 11:00.....................You're right, we didn't need to bring the binder..Or take a written test.........What did you eat on "clear liquids" day and what are you eating now?.........................Are you up all day or sleeping and in pain?...How's the water going?....... Hey Carol, By any chance are you my long lost Aunt Carol? Do you have a brother named Tommy who lives in CT? If that is you please get a hold of me ASAP, I would love to come visit you in the hospital and bring you anything you may need. Good Luck and best wishes!
