I'm back on the island.
My dad finally passed away last week and my husband deployed within 24 hours of him passing. Talking about STRESS. But my son will be easing his way into school at the end of this week and doing full days next week so I will have a little me time.
I cannot believe my baby is in school. Seems not long ago I was giving birth. They grow up so darn fast.
I see there are lots of new faces that I need to meet. Jessica I hope you are doing ok. I have not gotten to talk to you in forever! Write me.
Kema...we can get together for that coffee on of these mornings maybe next week while my son is in school. I would much prefer to do it without him. I just need some Mommy time.
I am 128 lbs now, in a size 5 juniors and a 4 ladies. The weightloss is still truckin right along. I am really curious what I am going to bottom out at. I am 8 lbs from goal. Its strange because I am still not satisfied with my weight. Not sure why I have this warped perception of myself. From what I understand, that is pretty common. My skin is resembling that of a Shar Pei on certain areas of my body. No doubt plastics will be in order!
Well I am going to go for now. It is 2:30 a.m. and I am still awake and I gotta get up and take my son to school orientation in a few hours.
Steffie
Welcome back Steffie!! I was wondering what had happened to you. Do you have any new pictures up? I'll pop over and check your profile once I post this.
I'm so sorry about your dad. And the stress of your Dh leaving so quickly afterwards must have been enormous! Big (((HUGS))) I hope things are getting better for you every moment of every day.
Congrats on your weight loss!!! You just zoomed through it, I'm so jealous of you! lol.. how cool to be so close to goal. I can't wait to see some recent comparative pictures! You are truly an inspiration to those of us behind you.
Lots of love and aloha,
Tink

Hi Steffie! I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your father. My sympathies are with
you and your family.
You must be excited about your son starting school! I know that sometimes this can also be a stressful time too. I know exactly what you mean about your "baby" starting school. I went through the same feelings when my children started school.
Congratulations on your awesome weight loss!! You have lost so much weight in the short time since you've had your WLS!! I've still got a little more to lose, but it's just not coming off. I am 19 months post op. I am happy with what I've lost so far. Hope I will be able to lose a little more.
Take care and I'm sure once you get back into a regular schedule you will be more comfortable. God Bless and I will keep you and yours in my prayers.
It was really nice to see you posting again. You were really missed.
Have a wonderful and blessed week.
Hugs and aloha, Pat
Hey girl....I miss you!! I am really sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm still in NH with Kyle..we were supposed to go home Aug 23rd, but I think we're leaving either the 13th or 14th--LOL, I've had enough, and Jon is supposed to go out again and he wanted a chance to see me before he left! I gotta say I am sooooo jealous of all your weightloss so fast...but definitely congrats to you I know you've worked hard. I am still at a weightloss standstill and it is driving me bazerk! I am going to see the doctor when I get back home--it is probably some vitamin issue. I bet you can't wait for that Mommy time soon to come!! We'll have to go to the beach when I get back. Take Care.
Steffie...
We haven't had a chance to chat or anything, but I'm sorry to hear of your fathers' passing. It must be really hard for you...especially without the hubby around. If you need anything...please let me know.
I'm sure your son will love school...lol...I have my older one already adjusted fully (which was mighty tough because he's special needs and I'm so totally overprotective). But next year I'll have my baby baby to part with and I wouldn't know what to do without him home with me *sigh* sometimes I think I need him more than he needs me. He's my partner in crime when big brother is in school. =) Have fun with orientation.
Dana
Welcome home!! If you ladies get together for coffee one morning I would love to join you all. I am new to Hawaii and would really like to meet others here who have had or are going to have WLS.
I am sorry to hear about your dad. I am glad that your hubby was able t o be there for you even though he had to hurry off.
Take care,
Kim
