Welcome Joley, I had my surgery with Dr Cirangle Mar. 22. I've lost 55 pounds 1/2 to goal. He's a great surgeon. I'd be glad to answer any questions you have. Are you going to have surgery at Pali Momi or SF?

Hey Joan - thanks for the welcome. I will be having mine in SF, he said he won't do it here unless he has at least 10 patients lined up because he is required to stay on the island for 3 weeks after the surgery. Did you have yours in SF and how was it traveling if you had it in SF? Congrats on the weight loss ;-)

Hi I had mine in SF. I was pretty miserable after surgery (Nausea and weakness) so the trip home was rough. My friends who had surgery had no problems. The plane was packed full and we were jammed in the very back. Upgrade if you can, we couldn't. Also ask for a wheelchair if you're not feeling well, Its a long walk. Aloha, Joan

I will keep the wheel chair in mind. Were you able to walk around after the surgery or did you pretty much stay in the hotel room? I will check to see what an upgrade costs, but I doubt I can afford it - that additional fee pretty much did it for me.
