What's everyone up to today? It's beautiful here, unlike what we were expecting with Daniel now dissapated somewhere over the Pacific.. We're getting ready to take out the surfboards and hit the water in Hanalei bay with the kids. My littlest is nervously/cautiously learning to surf, my oldest is gung ho, despite getting whacked in the face with his board last week! We're also going to go look at a rental house. We are in a condo right now, which I LOVE, BUT... the kids aren't allowed to play outside much.. they can't make noise, or ride bikes or skateboards, etc.. so we're checking around to see what else is out there. Then we're going to head into town and hit WalMart for the essentials, see how Costco is coming along (it's supposed to be open next month!! Woohoo!!) and mosey around doing the weekend thing. How about you guys??? My one month is tomorrow and I was hoping I might hit 275... I am 277 today, down from 315 to start, 304 day of surgery. I get to take measurements again tomorrow too, but we can't find the old ones!! With the move, they've been misplaced. I hope we can find them. happy Saturday to you all!! Tink

Theresa, I know exactly what you mean. We've been hosting Japanese teens in our home since I was a very young teen - I've ran the program for several years as an adult, and been very, very involved most of my life. It's a very special program, and yes, you do get incredibly attatched!!! Glad you had a good experience with your guest!
