well i ate my scrambled eggs with cheese and ham. and i added some strawberry jelly. (that was not part of the dctrs plan!!) it doesnt make me dump and is very feelinf. i was so afraid to eat for so long thinkng i would gain weight. but it is veryyyyy important to eat your protein. my hair is slowly but surley coming back in.it was mainly in the front and just thinned out all over.i took my huge horse pill from gnc..the womens ultra vitamin. it truely does give me energy though. its just so big. ive tried to 1/2 it and i cant stand the taste so i just force it down. ive tried liquid vitamins.uuggghhhhh!!! who ever made that up did just that. taste like they mixed sticks..weeds..and blackeyed peas then squirted the flavor of your choice. i give it up to anyonw who can take that nasty stuff!!!! make sure you all have took your vitamins...planned for your protein for the day and get tha****er in. and my biatric nurse called and we talked for awhile monday. hes out of tripler. he said i can have tea and diet soda but then i ghave to double my water. caffiene i guess can make you dehydrated cuz it takes away from the water. so i do the diet soda and then try to sip sip sip water all day. we do so much to look good. yet for me it was that and also more. im so happy with my results and feel so much healthier. have a good day guys and gals and will talk to you soon. teresa

Sounds like you're off to a great start!! I slept late and am in Pacific time zone, so have not planned my day at all... I did horribly yesterday though, I got only a few grams of protein and zero vitamins... I couldn't find them!! That's my first order of business as soon as I get off this puter - figure out where in my luggage the vitamins went!!! lol... I'm still doing childrens chewables so I can suck on them. I am still too nervous about swallowing much, although I DID start my birth control pills and they have gone down just fine. They're fairly small though. Right now, I'm only supposed to be taking B12 and my chewable + bcp. I have to call the office and find out if I can take some biotin and zinc for my hair. It's already very thin going in to this, I don't need it to get any thinner! I think I'm going to try a new protein drink I found and see how that goes down, I'm pretty disgusted with everything else I have right now. I am forcing them down when I drink them - but I do it because it's about being healthy and about making me well! Soooooo if I could only find one I love! Soon enough I'm sure. hey...i dont exactly how much protein is in them cuz there down stairs..but slim fast has a new drink that is protein enriched. like they have there reg ones and there low sugar and now one based on protein. its good really good cold. i get the creamy chocalate. ands its sweet so you get a treat as well. see ya.

I need to keep looking for that, cause the ones that I've found still have too much sugar for me - something like 13 grams I think it was. I'm allowed 5, and don't want to test that theory out for a really, really long time. No use dumping, and even worse, finding out that I don't dump! Either would be awful. I'll look again though! I found one in my cupboard today (on the mainland) that we bought from Costco a while back and it's not bad. Sweet, chocolaty, and not too protein-y, I mixed it with soy milk and I've almost finished it. Unfortunately I keep going to fast and feel the pressure on my tummy!! Too much! lol... gotta keep working on that. I don't want to stretch or hurt anything. I seem to do better with the mix it yourself kind - not pre-made in a can or whatever, which is too bad, because they're a little harder to take on the go, but we'll see how it goes. So, I've almost got 33 gms of protein for the day! No water or vites yet though.... Ttyl, Tin k

Hi Tin K!!! Congratulations on joining the "losing side"!!!!! I was reading your post regarding protein, and just thought I would make a suggestion. I had lap rny on January 10, 2005 and have been drinking the Isopure Dutch Chocolate shake for almost 18 months now. It contains 50 grams of protein and no sugar. The main thing in drinking this is not to use one of those shakers to mix it. It creates too much foam which is gross! I use the recommended amount of water, add ice cubes and just stir it with a spoon. I actually look forward to it everyday! You can get it at GNC. If you would like, I could send you a little to try so that you wouldn't be wasting your money in case you don't like it. Just let me know. It also comes in vanilla and strawberries and cream, but I love chocolate so I've just stuck with the Dutch Chocolate. Hope this helps! Let me know, and I can send you some to try. Aloha, Pat 261/140
