I got dilated today!!

I have really good news...I had a dilation done today and everything went awesome!! The dr. was able to stretch the stricture to 15mm!! I was supposed to go in next week to have it done again, but he said to his surprise everything was looking good and I didn't need to go back!!!! I can always call him if things start up again, but I am doing a lot better!! I actually drank a whole bottle of water today AND ate some shrimp!! I even have a little bit of energy....LOL, enough to attempt a yard sale tomorrow with my husband anyways!! I am even going to attempt to go to NH as planned too Thank you everyone for all of your prayers and support.

Awww this is like the greatest news !!!! Im so happy that all is ok, it must be a huge relief for you, cuz i know when i was in the hospital for almost three weeks having more surgeries and my dilations when i finally went home and was feeling better i was soooo thankfull the the worst was behing me, feels good to eat and not worry so much huh. and hey welcome back, hehehehe take care good luck with the yard sale wish i could make it.

Hello Pat I haven't started back on my protein yet--I know I need to though!! I am trying to work on getting my water in first and keeping myself hydrated--the nutritionist said that should be my main concern and then adding the protein back when I can tolerate it. I have tried a couple different proteins...the vanilla designer whey (it's not bad...it works great when you put it in the blender with frozen fruit!!) and I have done the chocolate isopure--that wasn't bad at first but I grew sick of it.....now I have a HUGE container of the strawberries and cream isopure that I am going to give a shot when I'm ready!!! It feels so great to be out of the hospital and knowing I don't have to go back. I think after almost 3 months I am FINALLY on the road to recovery and starting to be "normal" again!!! It's funny to it all has happened in a matter of a couple days, it feels like my body has done a complete turn-around, it's great!! Anyways!! How are you doing?? Take Care.....Jessica
