Milton Owens?

Hey Jessica and Steffie - any thoughts and wisdom on M. Owens or his partner??? I may be having my surgery there next week!! Some strange cir****tances came up and we're shifting gears - it's almost a go with insurance right now... just waiting for that final answer, but I'd love to know what you both thought...?

Hey!! Dr. Owen's was so nice. I went through his Orange, CA office and had my surgery done at Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pedro, CA. I don't highly reccomend the hospital--it was really small so that was nice, but they don't get very many WLS patients so they didn't have a clue as to what they were doing. I also didn't really get any post-op materials. They want me to still pay $150 for some lifetime membership fee for an online support group and stuff, but I still haven't paid it. Thanks for the info Jessica - we'll see what happens, I got some things (very complicated) worked out at work and may not be seeing him afterall - but it's still processing with the insurance, I'm just not PUSHING it through, like I tried so hard all last week. Just waiting to see what happens. I really don't want to do it that way if I can stay in Honolulu, since my family won't be able to be at my side if I go that route, but I will if insurance can get it through in enough time for me to book it. Getting excited though, since surgery's soooo right around the corner. At the worst - I leave for Honolulu in 9 days!! That's hardly any time at all!
