There IS a formal support group on Oahu!!
I just saw this and thought some of you might be interested....It looks like Kapiolani @ Pali Momi has a support group for ANYONE and it's free:
"Welcome Patients and Prospective Patients!
All of our seminars and support groups are open to the public.
Seminars tend to focus on educating and answering questions of those individuals who are interested in undergoing Weight Loss Surgery (i.e. Pre-Op patients). Seminars are a great way to meet other prospective patients and have your Weight Loss Surgery questions and concerns addressed by practicing bariatric professionals.
Support groups tend to focus on the questions and needs of patients who have already undergone weight loss surgery (i.e. Postop patients). Prospective patients often attend a support group to meet others who have undergone Weight Loss Surgery and learn about Laparoscopic Associates' ongoing patient care.
Both Prospective Patients as well as Post-Op Patients are welcome to attend both sessions as there is considerable overlap in information. We find most patients appreciate both sessions and even combine them into one group in some locations.
To learn more about Support Groups and Seminars, or to speak with a Weight Loss Specialist please contact our office.
We look forward to assisting you in your pursuit of health. "
The next meeting is on Sat June 3rd (tomorrow) 10:00am - 12:00pm

Hi Jessica! Actually, I attend this support group meeting. It is sponsored by Dr. Paul Cirangle. The meetings are open to all of his post op patients and to anyone else who wants to attend.
His support group meetings are awesome. They are held on the first Saturday of each month at Pali Momi Hospital.
Anyone who is interested, please join us. I can promise you that you won't regret it!!
If anyone has any questions, please contact me by e-mail, or you can reply to my post.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!!
Aloha, Pat
