Dana - any news?
I went to the meeting...I'd say it was informative. Seems like the surgery can be done relatively quickly (virtually no wait list) and that Dr. Fowler is a great surgeron. He and his staff (especially Anna - the coordinator) seem great. Dr. Fowler seems down to earth and knowledgebale about what he does. They gave me a lil take home packet...let me know if you wanna know what exactly was in it. The whole comprehensive program seems really good there. The fee ($600) includes a physical trainer and dietician and all preliminary testing that insurance will not cover. Then after surgery you meet up twice a week for workout/cooking demos/etc. Sounds neat.

Meeting twice a week sounds so nice! I'm totally jelous as there's no way I could do it. However, I'm sure I could check in with the group on occasion when I come to town for follow ups - or are on Oahu for whatever reason. I want the physical trainer too!!!! I wonder what I can work out over here.. the work out facilities are pretty mediocre, and the only one even close to me has a wait list for memberships!!!! I ought to get myself on that wait list right now probably huh? The phyiscal trainers around here are independent and cost about $55/hr to use.. I wonder if I could break that into 1/2 hour sessions later on? Cause I really don't need anyone sitting there with my while I do cardio.. that's easy enough for me, it's the other stuff.
Boy I'm excited.. what all was in the packet? I'm supposed to get one in the mail on Saturday, but maybe she changed her mind on sending it since I'm going to the seminar anyways?
Well, I'll talk to you soon... thank you a million times over for pointing me towards Dr. Fowler, I appreciate you so much!! You have saved me so much money, grief, time and logistical nightmares! Thanks.
