Hi! I know I'm late responding, but I wonder if you found a support group. In addition to the ones listed before, there are also a number of support groups through Northside Hospital. That is located near perimeter mall. Let me know if you'd like more information about those support groups

Looking for another member of this site that live in Covington, GA or close to this area to help and support each other on this weight loss surgery journey. New to the area and looking for others of the weight loss journey. I do not know any surgeries but would love to talk to you.
Would love to talk to you about weight loss surgery because I am beginning my journey. I live in Covington, GA and would love you have you as a part of my support system.
I also had Dr Hart. Love, love, love him and his entire office staff! I'm two years out and had ZERO complications and made it to his goal and 5 lbs from mine.

I will be facilitating a support group for patient's who are 1 year or less out from WLS at Northside Hospital (I am an RN on the Bariatric Floor and also almost 15 years out from WLS surgery myself).
The meetings will be the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the classrooms in the 980 building. (Take the elevator in the 980 lobby down one floor to the classrooms).
You do not have to be a Northside patient to come....all are welcome! Hope to see you there!!

I just went a picked a family dr. I used dr Amma Abunyewa off of Providence road. I just told her I wanted the surgery and she sent the referral in that day. On my first visit. She was great.
