I hope to be at the conference.  I am holding steady at about 125-127 lbs. depending on the day.  I am up from a low of 119 which made me look like a scarecrow.  I am trankful for the extra poundage.

I hope it is OK to post here as I'm not from GA but MI.  I will be coming
down your way.  AirTran ran a sell last week and they still had rooms left.
So I will be coming.  I did a search trying to find info as I have never been
to one.

Nick my DD had the same issue with her DH.  She had the VSG two years ago.  She wanted him to do it with her as he was even more overweight than her.  He was going to do it the "natural way", now is even larger.  He never went anywhere with her, except to the hospital.

My DH is very supportive but, doesn't understand the issues.  He tells me to just shut my mouth and don't eat.

Are you both going?

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

I am thinking about going but I am not sure yet since I will have to do so alone. My wife shows no interest in my journey and she may feel a bit threatened by my progress. I had hoped to be an inspiration to her but it hasn't worked out so far. She won't go to any of my support meetings even though her weight is becoming an increasing problemfor her  because of her  Arthritis and Lupus issues.

I  have also gained back 8lbs since my lowest after VSG surgery in 08/10. I tend to  fluctate 2-3 lbs from Day to Day for for no apparent reason except for possible water retention issues. After losing 186lbs, I am not worried too much yet.

Topic: RE: Dr. Glass in Augusta..need help
I am sorry you feel that way about Medicaid patients but as like me I at 34 was diagnosed with Multiple Scolorsis and was working before hand but it hit me so hard I cant  hardly walk and cant drive at all. The steroids they gave to calm it down put 100lbs on me in 2 years. So you have no idea what that person is going through or there financial situation! How about you grow a heart and not be so hateful. If you feel that way why dont you just keep your throughts to yourself. I am not trying to be mean but kind of upsets me that others want to judge with out thinking of the words coming out of there mouth or how it makes others feel that might not be able to help there situation. I will pray for your profectionistic adittude!!

Topic: Announcing Forum Upgrades!

Its been over six years since we've launched our forums. During this time it has seen thousands of fresh faces, greetings, meetings, partings, arguments, kind words, life transformations, cathartic rants, and simply happy time pass. It has been with us throughout this time, silently observing and facilitating. But like any wise old man, its bones were getting old. Its joints were aching, and it has been needing a new jolt of energy.

A Mobile World
Did you know that over 30% of you visit our website using a mobile device? For those who do visit us via mobile, we owe you a sincere apology, because our forums have been horrendous on a mobile browser. But the big news is that things are about to change! Our new forums are completely mobile friendly and compatible with iPhone, Android, and pretty much any other modern smart phone.

Each post, topic, and forum shows up beautifully, with the full set of features, and in nice large font. See the screenshots for yourself.

You dont have do anything different, just browse to the forums like you normally would. This means that you can finally put these away:

Not Just for Mobile
The interface on your desktop browser has also been cleaned up a great deal. There is now less clutter on the page, and the overall experience is a lot cleaner. Check out some more screenshots here!

You will notice that each post no longer has 400 buttons below it. Only the buttons that are relevant to each post show up, making your screen space a lot less cluttered. Also, when you reply to another person's post, the entire post is indented inside, making it a lot easier to figure out who has replied to whom.

Launching soon! Maybe as early as next week! Maybe.
And do remember that this is not in any way a be-all-end-all when it comes to the forums. We are in the process of constantly learning and improving upon what we have, and this is just one step along the way.

Stay tuned for the changes! We look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
