I'm pre-op so I hope it's ok that I'm posting here. I am planning to go assuming I can still register on Friday. Looking forward to it, so I hope I will be able to.

Both my wife and I will be attending.  I'm 3 yrs out RNY and wife is 1 yr out RNY.  I thank God every day for our relationship and how it has strengthened even more as we've started this new journey together.  Though the numbers on the scale can be an indicator, our focus has been more on getting healthy so that we can enjoy the physical activities together that we once could not.

After all, living life fully and well should be everyone's goal!

You'd have better luck asking this in the Mexico forum if you haven't already. Tons of folks who've seen many surgeons! Also try the VST site as well (again, if you haven't already!)

I'm so ready for change, it hurts. But all the hurdles I'll have conquered along the way make everything well worth it.

Topic: VSG in Mexico?

Hello everyone, I'm very interested in having WLS and I'm considering the VSG. My insurance excludes all issues bariatric. I"m thinking about using Dr. Joya in Mexico, because I can't afford  self-pay in the U.S. I would like to know if anyone has used him as a surgeon? What was your experience and do you think it's his safe. Please advise if you know anything about this physician.

Thanks in advance,
Janice
