SO, I have to ask... any physical difference in the way you felt having the band in comparison to the rny? I'm in process of revision. (:

Topic: Georgia Amerigroup?

Anyone have amerigroup ? I do, and I am in process of doing all my pre op tests ( will be done the 30th of this month)...The woman who schedules the surgeries etc, told me the insurance company has 30 days to approve you...anybody have experience with amerigroup? Does it REALLY take that long?

It says you are a bander? I also have the lap band and am going for a revision in about 6 weeks to the rny gastric bypass. I am using Dr. Kelly in Savannah, Ga at Memorial Health Bariatrics and I fell in love with their office. They are great, and not my original surgeon (Dr. Burnette in Valdosta, Ga)

Hello everyone,

I had RNY surgery 10 years ago and i am in need of a revision. The problem is I do not want to go to my original surgeon (Dr Duncan) ...Does anyone know of other surgeons that will see me ??

Topic: Hi I need a pcp that takes Medicaid and pro surgery

Hi I just joined the other day but I have just started my journey looking for surgeons and pcp. I have Wellcare/Medicaid and I have my first appt with surgeon Sept 4th Dr Ahad Khan in Johns Creek. I am so excited but I am having a hard time finding a PCP if anyone knows of any ones please let me know... thanks

I'm planning on having the DS with Dr. Blaney in Augusta. I think this is the best for me with my BMI and opportunities or less weight gain. Also, my mom had an RNY and watching her with her dumping syndrome makes me not want to have to go through that. Her teeth are ruined from vomiting and other things of the like. It's great she has maintained but at a price I am not comfortable paying. Know what I mean?
