Hey Martina! Dr. Chasen uses Connie Stapleton and I love her. She also writes for the OH magazine. She is really great. Lots of people use the doctor Pink Buttafli used and he has several location including the Marietta area and Conyers. I had his information and can get it again if you need it. Izzy originally gave it to me.

I have to agree with you that it is sad that people have surgery and forget where they came from or the struggle that it took to get there. i for one will never forget because DS changed my life and I owe it all to God...(and OH)

Be prepared for a fight. It took her forever to get an approval, and her excess skin is so bad she can't even walk!

Just be smart about how you work the system. You're paying for your insurance and they need to give you what's rightfully yours for your health and well being.

Just post us on every step, so others will know what to do too.

Hey Martina,

I don't know of a Nutritionist in GA, since I had my DS in TN and did all my pre-op in NC.

I just wanted to comment that I am saddened that 116 people have lurked at your post and nobody cared enough to respond!

That seems to be the trend around here lately.

We post-ops really need to pay it forward because there were lots of people on here to walk us through the process.

If you can't find anybody, I would just call Dr. Smith, Maynard, or Chasen and ask who they use. Their Nuts should be good with DS'ers.

Topic: Nutritionist/ Dietician

OK I am so happy to be able to think about the fact that I am closer to being able to have my DS surgery. Before I can have surgery I have to have a clearance from nutritionist or dietitian. I need to know if anyone can recommend a dietitian or nutritionist near Rock mart, Cedar town, Rome, Carters ville, Dallas, or Hiram. I appreciate any help I get.

I second that.... I am suppose to go on the 12/29/10 and I had my surgery 4 years ago. From 300lbs to 179lbs but I am currently 191lbs my goal is 160lbs and I am believing this could work. Negative people uggh.....
