I started to a program at Dr. Proctor's office about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago. There can only be 6 WLS people in the class at one time. This is the second program they have had like this. NO sugar or sugar substitutes, no bread, pasta, no milk. We eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks, we are supposed to eat every 4 hours. We can have up to 10 carbs at each meal and snack. We eat lots of protein and some non starchy vegetables. The first week of the program we just read the books on what we would be doing , I lost 1 and 1/2 pounds , the next week we got the Kick Start diet and I lost 5 and 1/2 pounds that week . Next week we will get a different diet where we began to add back more carbs. Still no sugar, though. I feel the best I have in a year. I know it's leaving off the carbs. I don't get hungry, sometimes I even forget to eat, now that's a first !!! Y'all pray I get the rest of my weight off. I want to lose 38 more pounds. Judy

Thanks Barb, I appreciate the prayers !! Yes, you can have cheese, but no rice. If you want to see what we can eat , look on the March 2004 message board. I put the diet on there. Judy

Judy I hate to bother you again, but is there a fast way to get back to March of 2004 (I think that's where you said you originally posted this) because I kept clicking "Older Posts" for ever it seemed and it just wasn't getting me anywhere fast. Could you possibly paste a link to your prior post? Thanks Valarie

OH JUDY!! I'm so happy to hear YOU happy!!! This is so wonderful that this is working out for you. I would love to see the diet. I am going to a group, that is a bunch of friends getting together, putting $5 in the pot each week, and the first one of us to lose 10% of our body weight, will win the cash! I want to win! HEE!!! However, I lost 3 pounds last week and gained all 3 back this week. Dang it!! I'd love to hear more. Thanks!! Tami
