:help:Anyone use Dr. Ducan Titus?? Need protocol for Juice Plus and other supplements??
This is what I was told to take and at my 6 mo.check up was reashured that I was taking the right thing's and amount's also all my bloodwork was fine....
1 multi vitamin daily
1200-1500MG Calcium citrate w/Vit.D daily
1000mcg of Sublingual B-12 daily
Iron 1(27mg)daily
That was all that they told me to take.I also was told by someone pre-op that Biotin was supposed to be good for the hair-loss
so I started taking it pre-op then added the Zinc later on post-op.

Christy,
Dr. Duncan was my surgeon and I am 8 mos post op and just had my six mos post op visit 2 mos late but all was good. I took the juice plus for 8 mos before surgery and picked it up again at 4 mos post op when I was given permission to swallow my vitamins (they are awful to open up and take). I also take 1800 of calcium, 100 iron, a prenatal vitamin, 1000 vit C (which Dr. D said I did not need due to the juice plus) and I give myself a b12 shot once a month.
I also take 2 Ginko, 1 Omega 3 because I have not been able to eat fish since the surgery. My blood was great and since I upped the iron my hair has stopped thinning so much and is growing fast. I still drink my Isopure each morning for breakfast trying to get in the 80 gms of protein a day.
All much easier now that I can swallow pills. Dr. D also said we can take time release pills now but we cannot break them up!!
Good Luck.

If you are looking to save money and take good whole food vitamins then try Nature's Way Alive. Its around $25 for 3 months worth and they are not a MLM scam. You can get it both with iron or without. I have been on them for over a year now and labs are great and I feel much better than when I was on just plain chewable vitamins. I take the recommended 3 pills a day.
