are there any lapband support groups in atlanta?

I am doing my research now on the two options of lap band or bypass surgery and looking for a support group that i can learn from to make the decision. I feel like the surgeons push the bypass over the lap band but in everyway i prefer the band procedure. Any banders out there that may be able to answer some questions for me. Also, any advice on how to pick a surgeon?
