update
Hey everyone,
I know that I have been absent from the board for the last 2-3 months, but hopefully my very stressful time will be coming to an end in the next few days...lets just say I cant wait for 4/17 (TAX DAY) to get here.
On Tuesday (4/11) about noon, I started experienceing very sharp pains around my belly button area. 
The pains may have subsided some during the day, but never actually quit. About 4:00 that afternoon, I had had enough of those pains, and called my WLS surgeon, Dr. Williams. The office said for me to go to Emory Dunwoody ER, and that they would run the necessary tests to determine what was going on. Had the normal chest X-rays, and a CT scan. I had a partial blocked bowel obstruction, and was admitted to the hospital about 10:30 that night, and of course that put me on the Bariatric wing, which by the way is the BEST!! Dr Champion did come see me in the ER and told me why they were running the various tests, and he did also come see me on Wed Morn. Anyway, on Wed afternoon, I had an exploratory laproscopy (sp?). It turned out that I had an adhesion (scar tissue) from the gastric bypass and that was what the obstruction was. I am home now recuperating, and of course my boss wants me in the office tomorrow!! I know that I should take things easy, but it is that time of the year. And if I feel good tomorrow, I will go in for at least a few hours. I will say that I am so glad that I decided to call my surgeons office when I did. One of my questions to Dr Williams this morning was, 'did I do anything that caused this to happen?' His answer was 'no, that it just happens'. Thank goodness that I did listen to my body and what it was telling me!!

I am so glad you are O.K. This is a very good example for all of us, pre-op or post-op, to follow always listen to your body! You take it easy and be careful if you do go back to work friday. Look forward to seeing you at the gathering.

Guess what...I did NOT go in on Friday 
, but will be there tomorrow (Saturday)...thank goodness it is the last Saturday of 'tax season'...I dont know if I could take another one...have been basically working every Saturday since the first of the year!! I must have been 
to think that I could go in today. I decided not to go in today because 1) I did not get my car until today, 2) I had some things that I needed to get done today that could not wait!! and 3) it had not even been 48 hours since I had my surgery, and the incision sites were still very tender. Thanks for all your good wishes, and hope to see ya again!!
