4-10-06 Hello family it's been a while since I wrote, I'm in Germany finally got settled and all is well, found a wonderful house my job is great but my weight won't move. I gained a little my thyroid is so out of wack. The doctors increased it from 300 mcg to 350 mcg then realized that thats to high I gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks so you know I'm freaking out. I've been eating salads for 3 weeks and walking 2 miles a day including my general walking that I do for work. This week I begin a boxing conditioning class which I hope will help me get this last 40 pounds off. They also lowered my thyroid meds to 200 mcg so I hope that will get my metabolism working again, because it's really depressing eventhough I know its because of my thyroids levels that I'm gaining weight it still puts a a bad feeling in me that is hard for me to shake. So please send some encouraging words my way. Love ya Joi

Joi, I think the cardio boxing, will help stop the weight gain. I understand how meds. can do that to you. That is how I ended up gaining in the first place, and needing the surgery. It was due to Diabetic meds that I don't even need now. Your health is the most import thing Joi. You need more than salad. Increase the protein, and meditate as well. Stess keeps the body from doing its job. You are an amazing person who is much more than a number on a scale. I would LOVE to be 190! I'm 226 and grateful for that! Remember where you came from,,,,,You look amazing NOW! Love, Rebecca

All is well. You know what you need to do to keep it off. Have a wonderful time in Germany. I lived there for 10 years. Between Nuernberg and Mannheim. Let me know when you go to the crsytal factory. (((:::

Hello YOU! Great to hear from you! I think the increased cardio will help you on your way. Try also increasing you water intake. That also helps you drop the pounds. You may also want to start back adding a few protein shakes to your diet. Increasing your protein always helps. I am glad that you are doing great. Vanessa

Your increased excercise should help kick things back in gear for weight loss. It is difficult with a thyroid that is out of whack, once they get your meds squared away, things will happen from that too. Hang in there.
