Dogwood Festival Sun Apr 9 - Lindberg Marta 11:30 AM

Some of us are going to the Dogwood Festival http://dogwood.org/ at Piedmont Park http://www.piedmontpark.org/ on Sunday April 9, 2006. We are meeting at the Lindberg MARTA station at 11:30 AM Sunday morning. We will either ride MARTA to the the Arts Center MARTA Station near the High Museum and take the MARTA buses to Piedmont Park or take MARTA to the Midtown Station and walk up 10th Street to the Park. http://www.itsmarta.com/getthere/schedules/index-rail.htm http://www.itsmarta.com/getthere/stations/lindbergh.htm http://www.dogwood.org/category.aspx?categoryID=39 If everyone in our group wants to walk to the from the MARTA station to the park, we will probably take MARTA to the MIDTOWN MARTA Station and walk up 10th Street to the park. If some people don't want to walk from the MARTA station to the park, the buses will be shuttling people back and forth from the ARTS CENTER MARTA Station near the High Museum and we can take the shuttle buses to the park. There probably will be a bit of walking while at the park though. Everyone is welcome to join us and I hope everyone will. I'm looking forward to a fun day getting out and getting some exercise with friends. Some people may choose to leave earlier than others, but some of us may go somewhere to eat and/or to a movie after leaving the park. Others may want to stay at the park longer to hear some of the bands playing later. One of the things I am really looking forward to seeing is "The planet's largest and most prestigious Frisbee Dog event". The "Amateur & Pro Toss & Fetch" will be held from 12 noon to 5:00 PM Sunday. http://www.dogwood.org/category.aspx?categoryID=3 Unfortunately, we cannot take any of our dogs with us. "Please note that per a new City of Atlanta ordinance, and for the safety of our patrons, no pets will be allowed in the park during festival hours. This ban does NOT apply to service animals for disabled persons, canines that are pre-registered for the ADF competition, or the off-leash dog area." If you can't meet us at the Lindberg Marta Station at 11:30 AM Sunday, maybe you can catch up with us later. Let us know if you think you can join us later we'll try to get together. Also, if you want to skip the Dogwood festival, but may want to join us later if some of us go to dinner and/or a movie, let us know and we can call you or send you a text message if and when we decide what to do after we leave the park. Hello Curtis, It is great to hear from you. I would love to do the dogwood festival. I have to check my husband's schedule and I will see if Beth M. wants to go too. Hope you are doing well. I turn all of my info in to Dr Daly on the 10th so keep your fingers crossed for me. The real question is have you used all thos seasonings and spices you won at the March get together? Hi Lori. I hope you and Jim and others can join us at the Dogwood Festival. We've enjoyed the spices. It was fun to win a door prize. Thanks! I'm afraid I won't be able to go to the April gathering because I think I'll be out of town that weekend. I'll sure miss everybody. It would be great to see some of the folks at the Dogwood Festival if they can go. I'm glad things are moving along well with Dr. Daly for you. He and his office are great!
