My son who is 14 is going on a Mission Trip in June with his Church ( First Baptist Church ) in Jefferson, Ga. Below I will Include his letter to family, friends & Business who might want to be a part of this. Dear Friend, I appreciate your intrest in my 2006 Summer Mission Trip. It is unlike any of it's kind. Below I will further explain. On June 27th, a team of our churches youth and adults will leave for the Altanta Airport on a multi-purpose mission. Our team will serve as couriers of Spanish Bibles for Lima, Peru, and participate in the distribution of those Bibles in schools, streets, and anywhere that God opens the door for us to do so. We will also continue construction on the New Life Children's Home. We will return to Atlanta on July 7th. First, the cost of the Bibles and shipping to a foreign country can be quite expensive. However, the cost for shipping can be cut by 80% when couriers are used. Each team member will transport dozens of Bibles in extra luggage, thereby reducing the total cost. Secondly, while in Peru my team will be going into several schools singing, preaching, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ along with distributing Spanish Bibles and tracts everywhere we go. We are thanking God, now, for all those who will accept Him as their Savior while we are there! We are excited about being able to worship on Sunday with the Peruvians that have gotten saved through the ministry at New Life. Lastly, out team will continue the work that is being done at the New Life Orphange. This will consist of construction, painting, cleaning, and just playing with the children that are living there now. New Life is a ministry of New Life Baptist Church which Mike Kennedy founded. You can help by donating to the purchase and shipping of Spanish Bibles for Peru. We plan to supply over five thousand copies of God's Word personally to Peruvians. Every dollar you give will in fact purchase Bibles, supply shipping and provide transporation to and from as we hand out the Bibles and aid in the Orphanage construction. You will be both winning souls and discipling them simultaneously. Not to mention the spiritual encouragement and life-long fire in a courier's heart for missions. What a great opportunity for all of us. Philippians 4:17 explains our idea for this venture of faith. Would you be a part? Please, pray and, if possible provide Bibles for Lima, Peru. P.S. This $10.00 will buy one bible, shipping for the bible, and help with the cost of my transporation.
