Sigh - my turn!!
Well gang, it seems it's my turn on the gall bladder band wagon. I was diagnosed with a stone last week (it is a fairly big one, I'm told). My appointment with Dr. Hart to check on it is Monday, the 20th at 2:30. It's not lots of pain yet, no nausea, etc., just annoying!!
Sigh. Oh well, I guess it won't really hurt me, but wasn't something I was planning on for this year!!
I'll keep you posted.

Bummer! I had my gallbladder out Oct 2004. I was diagnosed 1 1/2 years prior, but that ultrasound didn't show an actual stone, it showed "shadowing". Well, in medical lingo that MAY be the same thing, but "I" wasn't convinced!
So, I went to a accupuncturist for many sessions and herbs that got rid of the acid indigestion symptoms. After a year, I moved to Atlanta and started having occasional pain under my right breast. I had another ultrasound and then surgery. Come to find out I had almost a 1" stone!!!
Boy am I glad I didn't try to "expel" the stone with the help of that accupuncturist the year before!!
Bottom line is that the operation was a breeze. The only part that hurt for a few days was the incision at the belly button. My stomach was a little sore for a few hours or so after I woke up from surgery. But that may have been due more to the anesthesia than being blown up like a balloon!

Well, I'm 2 wks out today, and my "tighter" jeans STILL are giving me fits... just because a couple of the incisions are RIGHT on the waistline.
I noticed that leaning up against the sink was not very comfortable either...it it the one on my belly button. My incisions are still kinda sore.
Housework...in moderation...no lifting, I did some this weekend...but gotta be careful how much you lift.
The GB removal is NOTHING....I was supposed to be off work for a week - wound up only being out two days. (I'm not one that likes to be at home doing nothing.)
The gall bladder removal is a common thing that happens after this surgery. Not to worry....it's a VERY simple procedure.
We'll keep you in our prayers!
