Does anyone know how many calories we are supposed to be getting in a day at 8 weeks out? Or if there is even an specific amount of calories we are supposed to getting in daily? And can you have reached a platue at 8 weeks out? And if yes, what do you do to get things moving again? The scales have not moved in a week. Please help. Hugs, Lynda

One thing you can do is NOT weight yourself daily......The scale is NOT your friend. I only weigh myself when I go to the doctors office. Your body will need time to adjust - a week is NOT a plateau either! Keep doing what your doctor said.....don't worry! Dee Dee

Check with your doctor's office to make sure, but I think mine was around 700 at that point. Like Dee Dee said, it's not necessarily a problem that the scale hasn't moved in a week. Hang in there. Your body stops to take a breath every now & then, and then it starts moving again!! Ann in Duluth

I hit a big ole speedbump at around 6 to 10 weeks postop. Drove me NUTS. Just about everyone I know hits it at the same time and your body is going WHOAH! Just keep getting in your protein, water and vitamins and the weight loss will start up again And just a FYI I suggest keeping tape measurements too - not just scale weights because a lot of time when the scales are not moving, you are losing inches. Also, a stall is over 30 days of no weight loss and no inches lost either. I know it's really frustrating, but sometimes our bodies need a bit of a breather between weight loss spurts. Keep up the good work! Kia 5'9 284/161/155

Thank you all for the information, I was begining to think I was doing some things wrong. I even thought well maybe just stop trying to eat and just do the protein, but I know we have to have our bodies adjust to getting us to have food in our new pouch too. I don't think the surgeon intended for us to live off of just protein drinks and unflavored powder protein. God bless each of you, you all great, and your answers really inform us newbies to what is going on, and to take our time. Hugs, Lynda
