Third Sunday in March the P'tree application comes out. You don't need to run it, walking is fun too! In fact, there are TONS of walkers. It's a 10k which equals 6.2 miles. The first half is flat or downhill. The second half is uphill and flats. All sorts of shapes and sizes and abilities participate in the largest 10k in the world! I'll be having thigh surgery on May 22, so I can't run it-but I sure will walk it. For those of you that don't know, it's on July 4th bright and early. AND you get to wear the hottest tee shirt in town! The application comes in the AJC Sunday edition, the 3rd Sunday in March. I think it's March 19th. My birthday is March 20th (yes, I like gifts ) I buy the Saturday paper and mail it out early. It does sell out quickly each year. I think there were 50-55k participants. Anyone want to do it? Bueller?

Me, me, me!!! I'm signing up for it again this year. I am currently doing the Galloway Run/Walk getting started program, but that ends at the end of this month and I think I'll start the 10K program. I'm hoping my time will be better than 1:40 this year! Sherry, I bet you can walk it faster than I can run!! Thanks for the reminder. DH is automatically in the race because of his time from the Atlanta Half Marathon. Hugs, Ginger

Are you doing the Gwinnett or Cobb County Galloway Program. I did my on version of "gallowalking" for my marathon. I would run 30 minutes and do intervals of run 9 walk 1. IT helps with long distances b/c it changes up your strides. You can def. beat 1:40 LOL, you'll beat me this year! I'll be sore from a thigh and LBL. I'll only be 6 weeks out at that point. I'll be doing the Sherry Shuffle all the way to the monastary so the priest can bless me lol. But since I'm not running I can ENJOY the Krispy Kremes and Beer along the course!!! Are you the one who saw me in Chicago and didn't say HI!!!! I ran the ATL half too
