anyone with Kaiser please help.

can anyone with Kaiser GA insurance please help me with a question. I have seen Dr Mascik on Thursday of last week. I then called Dr Barzilay's office to schedule all of the test I need. My question is how long does it take to get the referels for these test and how long does it take to get in for these test. Just getting a little impatient Thanks Lgore

I don't have Kaiser so I'm not sure about your test situation, all my tests were completed within 2 weeks so I wouldn't sweat it too much. I do have a question about Kaiser for you, will Kaiser GA (what type of plan) pay for WLS? I know of someone who is about to selfpay for this. If they will pay what's their deal and who are their Bariatric surgeons. Thanks Juanita : )

I am just loggin in here today to catch up. I have Kaiser and Dr. Barzilay and Dr. Mascik. Dr. Barzilay will meet with you at the beginning of the program..he will give you the referral info..numbers...for the nutritionist and the psych. nurse. You then have to make your own appts. I started in Jan. of this year. I've been required to meet with the Bevarial Therapist a minimum of 10 times..so its about once a month with a one on one with her..then you have to attend her group support mtgs and those meetings will gotoward your ten times. You wil also have to meet with the nutritionist once a month also...Dr. Barzilay told me to complkete all the referrals its take about 5 - 6 months. you have to be VERY PATIENT...it took me 1 1/2 months to get in with Dr. Barzalay in Jan. so far the scheduling with the other .have gone fairly well..just hard balancing all the appts with my personal life...Also the Therapist has requirements of her own that you have to meet. so HANG IN THERE.
